Amy Guerrero, trauma-informed recovery coach, conscious sober person, and founder of Thrive In Recovery, has a coaching practice developed for sober people to heal their trauma, find success, and create healthy relationships with people, money, and themselves. Amy has learned how to go from admitting she was powerless to living powerfully, and believes it is her ultimate act of service to share her journey with others. I’m reaching out about having her on your show.
Amy knows from experience that getting sober is only the first step in a journey towards healing. She was pretending to be happy, thinking that the next meeting or the next therapy session would “fix” her and allow her to finally feel comfortable in her own skin, but it just wasn’t happening. Amy got busy educating herself, training and working with people in somatic experiencing, attachment theory, and other trauma-informed modalities, and relating it to living a conscious sober lifestyle. She turned her healing into her life’s work and now uses that education to coach people to feel more courage, hope and confidence in their sober life.
Blessed to be lead to Amy who is helping me today and our family. as our daughter has returned home from a treatment center.
I learned a lot. I think you will too.

Friday Feb 25, 2022
As I hit the 2 year mark of this podcast I am honored and SO pleased to bring you a conversation with my daughter Anna.
You have heard of her on this podcast and because of her struggle and finding my way through it as her mother, I created this podcast. A platform for me to share the stories of hope and resilience and recovery and wellness.
Anna is home and I asked her to sit with me and have a conversation. I have been hoping for this day and and grateful we had this time.
Eating disorders rob people of their lives yet Anna has seen through it all that she is truly made for something more. Please listen.
We mention Not One more Weekend and you can learn more here.

Dorothy shares the family history of mental health challenges and how that chaos impacted her life. She just kept going and overcoming and kept going.
Generational patterns do repeat themselves and yet we do have the power to change those patterns for now and generations to come.

What a fun interview today . I know you will enjoy it.
Lisa Jacobs a lawyer turned van lifer. She is currently an interior designer, investor, mentor, influencer and she is also into acting, so she really left the thing that wasn't serving her and decided to live life on her own terms. She's well known in the van life and travel community and has built up over 40k followers on Instagram and over 16k on Youtube. You can find her at https://www.instagram.com/vacayvans/
How many times do we realize that we are living life for others and not for our own dreams and purpose. Lisa realized she was not happy and fulfilled and did the unconventional. Yet these days, 2 years following the beginning of this pandemic, more have found freedom on the road and on their terms

Kim shares she story today and how for years the comments that others made may have lead to issues with eating and her thoughts of her body in her life.
It's a great story and she as many have, has gone on to help others because of her experience. EFT , Emotional Freedom Technique or tapping has helped her and we talk about that.
She also wrote a book called How to Kiss Goodbye to ANA.
This is a bit about it:
Do you struggle with Ana (anorexia) or have a difficult relationship with food and body image? Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) have the potential to transform your life and put you on the path to recovery. Here, honest diary extracts relay Kim Marshall's own struggles with anorexia and bulimia, including time spent in a residential treatment centre, and how she discovered EFT and learned to quiet the negative voices that were blocking her recovery.
You can find her at. https://www.kissgoodbyetoana.com/

Start, Stop and Continue for 2022 and my Word of the Year !

Each year around this time I spend time reflecting on the past year. I always go through this exercise too as I sent my intentions and word for the coming year. I encourage you to take some time to do that as well.
1. What will you Start doing : Life is too short and maybe it's time
2. What will you Stop doing: things that have not served you well
3. What will you continue: Continue on with what have served you and has worked well.
And I find it beneficial to spend some time on this, journal about it, meditate on it. Its a great practice

Monday Dec 20, 2021
Monday Dec 20, 2021
Sean Dustin joins me today to share his story. It's a long one and one that needs to be heard. 17 years as a drug user, years of not liking who he was and trying to be someone else with the drugs.
Yet he now is a wonderful servant leader, helping others in their lives as he shares his journey. Sometimes you get to a point in your life that there is no where to go but up. And that is what Sean did and does each day.
His Podcast has that name as well as his business.
I met him through Clubhouse and sure glad I did.
I think you will enjoy his story, what he learned, how he learned to love himself again and is now helping so many others.
The Journey to Joy Journal is available now.
My journal is available . Do you journal? Listen to the episode to hear how journaling helped me.
