My mother passed away this past Monday. I had the privilege to meet Claudia, my guest today through Matchmaker.FM and feel so honored to have found her at this time. At the time of this recording my mother was in hospice and her health was decline and death imminent, What a beautiful conversation we had about grief and dying and most importantly how did and do we all live.
Claudia also shares about her own journey through grief and feeling the death of a relationship and herself.
It's a beautiful conversation and one that I know I really appreciated at this very moment and know that the universe and the God that I know made this happen today. Please share with others who may be experiencing grief . I also challenge you to think each day....how did I love, How did I live!!!
Claudia Goetzelmann is a true global being with having lived on 4 continents. German born, she is now based out of Venice Beach/ LA California.

Ricky Ruiz joins me to have a discussion about some changes he made in his life regarding what he is eating and taking for supplements.
During the pandemic he left his job and was forced to be at home like the rest of us. He was faced with decisions about what to do for his future. His aunt encouraged him to take the Prove it Challenge and prove to himself that with some simple changes, he could feel and look better. It worked!!! And not only that but he now is sharing his success and hope for the future with others and building his own wellness team. As a young entrepreneur, Ricky's story is an inspiration to all of us. It shows us how simple changes can lead to a whole new outlook on your future.
Interested in the Prove it Challenge for yourself?

Ive recorded an episode with this topic as I began my podcast last year. Its a powerful exercise to do at the beginning of the year or really any time. My women's circle that I am a part of challenges us to go through this exercise during our last support session with each other.
I challenge you to take time to think:
What will I stop doing?
What will I start doing?
What will I continue ?
I share my initial reactions and then what I felt as I dove a little deeper.
I'd love to hear from you and what you came up with.
When we take time to think about what is working our our lives and what is NOT and what we can accept to change...that is when the real growth happens.

Ioana is an author and founder of Kelani, a mission to spread the spirit of her Samoan Ancestors in the form of dance. We were blessed to be contacted through Matchmaker.fm, a new platform a bit like a Tinder for podcasters.
Her story of her disordered eating and more importantly about her feeling about her self image and attachment to the scale is fascinating and one that we can ALL learn from. She wrote a book My Breakup with the Scale. She shares her realizations she had during this pandemic and what lead to this book.
We also talk about movement and dance. The traditions from her Samoan culture are rich. As I've shared about my dance, I have learned it it more than Ballroom dance, it truly is a form of therapy and healing.
Our conversation is rich and meaningful and I know you will enjoy it as much as I did.
Her purpose is connection and her mission is to #spreadAlofa

Elle Whitehall: The Power of Resilience and Shame during Recovery!
Friday Mar 26, 2021
Friday Mar 26, 2021
Elle Whitehall joins me today sharing her story in a vulnerable way. She opens about how a tragedy in high school lead her onto a path of destruction, guilt and self sabotage and poor decisions. And yet she came out on the other side of this pain and trauma.
We talk about Safe People, a wonderful book by Henry Cloud .
We talk about Choosing your Pain! And the power of a hair tie!
The Five Minute Journal you can find here.
We talk about the power of Forgiveness!
It's a great conversation . Regardless of the struggles you have, when you make a choice to make your tomorrow better than today, learn to forgive yourself, have compassion for yourself and learn to look past the shame while taking one step at a time, you are well on your way to a new life . I know you will find a lot of nuggets here.
I am thankful for the courage that Elle had today to share all this and more on my platform.

Eric Almeida an Emotional Healing Expert and podcaster joins me today to talk about how he learned about EFT. Panic attacks started to take over at his work place and gratefully a colleague introduced him to this method of healing. EFT or Emotional freedom technique is a form of working through your emotions in a unique way. You may have heard about it as tapping. You will learn a lot in this episode about emotions. It's important work that Eric does.
EFT is a proven technique that gently and permanently releases emotional pain, self-limiting beliefs and negative thoughts. EFT involves tapping on 10 different pressure points using your own hands and can often eliminate emotional pain as quickly as one session. This technique is much faster than traditional talk therapy alone. It is a vessel to help others heal.
It targets the meridian points that are part of the Chinese medicine. Tapping helps to calm the flight , fight or freeze response to emotions or memories. You will learn how this powerful technique works and can be truly life changing. Big or little T trauma, anxiety and memories that we all go through in life, in recovery can be helped through this modality. Eric offered me a free session and we talk through that experience as well. I know you will enjoy this episode.
More about Eric:
The jarring experience of a panic attack reconnected him with a therapist who specialized in EFT. Many months of emotional healing later, Eric recovered from the panic attack and began to embrace his true calling. The EFT work not only healed his wounds but reignited his passion and drive to help others.
Eric embraced the gift that the panic attack gave him and aimed his efforts towards becoming an EFT practitioner. He obtained his EFT practitioner certification through EFT International. His continued goal is to guide people so that they can connect with their true calling in life. And as a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, he recognizes the importance of ensuring those in his community have a safe and caring healer at their disposal.

Laurie Swanson is a friend of mine and a career strategist and inclusion advocate.
She works hard to inspire and empower women. And she found herself courageous today sharing her story.
We sit down today talking about behaviors and life and addictions and traumas. Traumas don't always need to be big T traumas. There are many things that bother us and we find things to do to cope . AA meetings, reading books and spiritual journeys.
Sometimes you know you don't want to live a certain way but don't know how to make the choices to move forward. Laurie finally learned how to set boundaries and understanding how to not be a victim or martyr . And stands in her integrity and truth in order to stay sober and well. I am thankful for our conversation. You will enjoy it.

Today on wellness Wednesday I have the pleasure to sit down and talk with Mark Ramirez, a man I have met through my work with the Shaklee Corporation. You will be inspired by Mark's love of life and running. After an accident that left him burned over much of his body, he started to run to stay active, in shape and healthy. That has lead to a life of running , marathons as well as having the privilege of 'test marketing' to an extent the Shaklee sports nutrition products as they were being developed. We talk mindset, life, the commitment to quality that Shaklee takes each day, why he was given his own parking space at Shaklee and how he humbly says he is a nobody who became somebody because of Shaklee.
You will love our conversation as much as I did.
If you are curious about Shaklee products for yourself, check out my site here when you can view and purchase products.
Curious about the heritage of Shaklee and the involvement with the Olympians , visit the athletes site.
